In plain terms
Plain language: the lefover.com marketing site uses one cookieless analytics tool to count visits and no advertising cookies. The mobile app doesn't use cookies at all.
1. What this policy covers
This Cookies Policy describes how the lefover.com marketing website uses cookies and similar technologies. The Lefover mobile application does not use cookies.
For details on the categories of personal information we collect and how we use it, see our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device when you visit. They are used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, or measure how a site is being used.
Similar technologies include local storage (in your browser), session storage, and browser fingerprinting. We use only the technologies described below.
3. What we use on lefover.com
Strictly necessary
We use browser local storage to remember:
- Your theme preference (system, light, or dark) so the site renders correctly when you return.
- Your region if you’ve set one explicitly through the region switcher.
These do not leave your browser. They are not sent to any server. They are not used to identify you.
Analytics
We use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool to count visits, measure popular pages, and understand which regions our visitors come from. This tool:
- Does not use cookies.
- Does not collect personal information.
- Does not fingerprint your device.
- Does not share data with any advertising network.
- Aggregates everything before it reaches us.
We currently use Umami for this purpose. See Umami’s documentation at umami.is for technical details.
Error reporting
If the website crashes, the crash is logged to us with technical details about what went wrong (browser, page, error message). This report does not include personal information. The crash report uses no cookies.
Crash and error logging runs on Lefover’s own infrastructure. We do not use a third-party error-monitoring service for this.
4. What we do not use
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies.
- Cross-site tracking cookies.
- Third-party analytics that profile you across the web.
- Social media tracking pixels.
- Anything from advertising or data-broker networks.
5. Your choices
Because we do not set advertising or tracking cookies, there is nothing to consent to or opt out of in that category.
You can clear the preferences we store in local storage at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for lefover.com. The site will continue to function and will simply default back to system preferences.
If you would prefer that we not measure your visit at all, you can use any standard ad-blocker or privacy browser extension to block the analytics script. This will not affect any functionality of the site.
6. Changes to this policy
If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected in our Privacy Policy.
