The first time you open Lefover takes about three minutes. By the end of it, you’ll have one number that tells you what’s safe to spend through your next paycheck.
Step 1. Download the app
Open the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android and search for Lefover. Tap install. The app is free to download. You get a 14-day free trial when you sign up.
Step 2. Sign in
Open the app and choose Sign in with Apple on iPhone or Sign in with Google on Android. We don’t ask for a password. We don’t store one. The sign-in service handles your identity; we just learn that it’s you.
The first time you sign in, we’ll ask you to confirm your country. Pick the one your bank accounts are in. You can change this later, but it’s easier to start in the right place.
Step 3. Connect your first bank
After sign-in, you’ll see a screen explaining how the bank connection works. Read it; it tells you what we will and won’t see. Tap Continue.
You’ll search for your bank, sign in with your bank’s normal screen (we never see your password), and authorize a read-only connection. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.
You can connect up to three accounts total (any mix of checking and credit). Lefover doesn’t track savings accounts because the math is about money you’ll spend, not money you’ve already set aside.
Step 4. Confirm your paycheck
Lefover takes a few seconds to scan your transaction history and find your paycheck pattern. On the next screen, you’ll see what we detected (“biweekly Friday paycheck of $1,832”) and a chance to confirm or correct it.
If your income is irregular (freelance, multiple jobs, side income that doesn’t repeat on a schedule), pick runway mode instead. We’ll tell you how many days of runway you have at your usual pace.
Step 5. See your first safe-to-spend number
The home screen now shows one number: what’s safe to spend through your next paycheck (or, in runway mode, how many days you have). That’s the whole product. We’ll do the math from here on; you just look.
Pull down to refresh. Tap the number to see the breakdown of how we got there. That’s it.
What’s next
Optional things you can do later:
- Turn on bill reminders so we tell you a day before something clears.
- Enable Face ID or fingerprint to keep the app private from a casual glance at your screen.
None of these are required. Lefover works fully without them.
